The “Horses of Honor” exhibit at Midtown Crossing commemorates Orozco, along with other officers who died in the line of duty.

One by one, officers pulled sheets off the intricately painted fiberglass horse statues.

For families of the officers, it was an emotional morning.

The wife of fallen Sgt. Jason "Tye" Pratt spoke about the importance of the statues.

Meaningful memorials -- for families who lost a loved one.

For those trying to carry on, they are symbols of strength to treasure.

“One look at these horses and you remember the greatness that lived inside of them,” said Stacy Laue.

Kerrie Orozco’s husband Hector was in the crowd, with their baby daughter Olivia.

So was Mia Gully, the wife of Officer Torrey Gully, who died on January 16th, 2013.

She was overcome with emotion as she admired the horse dedicated to him.

Officer Gully's father stood proudly next to the artwork, knowing his son's legacy will never be forgotten.

“That he loved people. That was his greatest strength. He loved everybody,” he said.

The horses will be on display throughout Turner Park for the next year.
